Krab Voice Gateway bridges a real phone call with live speech-to-text, machine translation, and text-to-speech — so two people who don't share a language can talk on an ordinary phone line. It also supports AI-prompted outbound calls, where an assistant carries out a short task (booking, asking a question, navigating a phone menu) on the caller's behalf.
Speech is transcribed, translated, and re-synthesized in near real time on both sides of a call.
Give the assistant a goal in plain language; it places the call and works toward that goal.
Runs over regular PSTN calls via a telephony provider — no app or account needed on the other end.
This is a personal project built and operated by Pavel Rebets, currently in private beta for personal use and testing — not open for public sign-up yet. Source code is public at github.com/Pavua/Krab-Voice-Gateway.
